Stanford Carr is president of Stanford Carr Development where he oversees an extensive portfolio of projects ranging from master-planned communities to resort-style living and affordable housing. As a locally and nationally recognized leader in business, Stanford is known for building communities on a foundation of family living, the spirit of the islands and respect for the land.
In the 25 years since he founded his eponymous development company, Stanford’s projects have earned numerous local and national awards from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the American Institute of Architecture and the Governor of Hawaii, among others.
Born and raised on Maui, Stanford is actively involved in the community. He serves as a trustee for the University of Hawaii Foundation, Chapter Chair for March of Dimes Hawaii and board member for the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific Foundation, Hawaii Council on Economic Education, American Red Cross, and Trust for Public Land.
